Bob Tway’s Play at Senior PGA

I have worked with Bob Tway, former PGA Champion, with his putting over the last several years.  In the four years before he turned senior we and I say we went from 177 in putting to #1 in putting on PGA tour in greens hit in regulation.  That was 2008.  At that time we made a recording on the SAMPuttLab of his profile.  His putting has suffered in the last couple of years.  I saw him at Newport in March 2012 and noticed his technique had changed greatly.  I looked at profile from 2008 and called him and told him the difference.  Putting still was bad.  We hooked up earlier this week at Harbor Shores before the Senior PGA Championship.  I took my computer so he could see the 2008 profile display.  He then asked me to work with him again.  I pointed out some psychomotor drills that would recapture his former stroke.  After day 2 in the tournament he is minus 1 and in contention.  Hope he continues to play well.
