6/13/12  When we pray, we present a petition for which we anticipate a directly related answer.  It does not work this way; prayer/answer, prayer/answer.  However I have learned over time that I will always get a response.  I will not necessarily be the answer I was hoping or expecting.  I have learned the response is always better, often the ultimate solution.

On one occasion I was praying that God act immediately in a situation.  The response was, “I can do this, but if you are patient I will be able to include fifty (exact number what was said) more related petitions you have not even considered.”  I agreed and choose the response rather than the answer.   The response is always accordance with God’s will concerning the request.  I have learned to pray for responses, not answers.
