9/11/12 My patent Composition including anthocyain or anthocyanidin for prevention or treatment of articular cartilage associated conditions was issued today as US 8,263,069. There were several strong claims granted. I have subsequently submitted a Continuation in Part to gain further claims. This intellectual property provides a foundation for further investigation for a novel means of treating cartilage disease and or injury. I have been working on this for over 6 years. I am grateful to those at Scripps in LaJolla, CA, specifically the Shiley Center for Orthopedic Research and Education for providing the environment for such a study.
