11/10/12: Breaking news yesterday concerning General Petraeus brings to my mind the statement in 1 Corinthians 14:10. There is no word or language without meaning. It was widely publicized that Paula Broadwell was embedded with General Petraeus. Her web site stated she was embedded from July 2010 to July 2011 and was “afforded extensive access by General Petraeus,…” She co authored the book from this experience called “All In: The Education of General David Petraeus” Any one listening? In retrospect, these press releases did not require reading between the lines.
I am quickly reminded of the television late night comedians same question last year concerning, Bernard Madoff. His name is pronounced “Made off”. They would ask, “You invested you money with a person with this name?”
Perhaps we should pay more attention to the meaning of words.
