Hot off the Presses

8/26/12  When newspapers were the most popular means of learning the latest news, the expression was “hot off the presses”.  The newspaper was and is created from a large roll of paper run through a printing press.

This expression came to my mind when I saw again the following statement.

1882: “God is dead”–F. Nietzsche

1900: “Nietzsche is dead”–God

God is very much alive continues to be news for some and therefore is “hot off the presses”.
