7/18/2014: Just paid $149 labor charge to a clothes drier service person for 15 minutes of work. The total bill was $200 with materials. That computes to $596 per hour labor gross income. This is comparable to highest paid patent lawyers in Washington, D.C. More than what many medical doctors are able to charge under federal regulations.

Reminds me of the old joke about the plumber and urologist. The urologist client complained about his plumbing bill saying he makes less than the plumber. The plumber responds by saying, “I know, I used to be a doctor”.

Moral of the story. Have a non regulated business model.
